Information:
Abbie’s Army are a registered Ashford charity totally committed to raising funds for new treatments and promoting cure for childhood brain tumours.

Thankfully childhood cancer is relatively rare but 1 in 600 children under 15 develop a cancer in their lifetime, making 1700 new cases every year in the UK. Over a quarter of these incidences are brain tumours.

The brain is the most common site for a solid tumour to develop in children, with 450 affected every year , for many of these the chances of survival remain low. For those who do survive there is often a long term legacy of side effects and disability. Brain tumours also rank the highest in the number of childhood cancer deaths , and sadly over 100 children will die from their disease every year.

Abbie was just 6 years old when she died of her brain cancer, this was just 5 months from her original diagnosis. Please join the fight and go to www.abbiesarmy.co.uk and see how you can help.
