Support AHBS when you shop at Waitrose, Ashford
January 16, 2012 No CommentsWaitrose in Repton Park, Ashford have adopted AHBS Community Radio as one of the three
community organisations for their Community Matters donations in January.
Three good causes receive a share of £1,000 every month from the Waitrose Community Matters initiative. The charities and community groups are selected by nominations from customers and Waitrose employees.
Customers shopping in store are given a green token in which they can vote for which of that month’s three charities/groups they want to receive the donation by placing the token in one of three Perspex tubes. At the end of the month the cash is divided up in proportion to the number of tokens a charity has received.
Please support the scheme if you can - if you shop at Waitrose, or if you are that side of town, please pop in and buy a few bits and tell everyone . Please support if the scheme if you can and spread the word – it could mean a greater donation to AHBS Community Radio which will help keep the station on air and develop.
Every £1 donated to AHBS Community Radio also enables us to help promote all the other charity, voluntary & community groups in Ashford and to continue to support & promote the town’s live music scene. Thank you.
There are also Waitrose stores in Tenterden, Canterbury, Hythe and Maidstone. If you use any of these stores or friends, relatives or colleagues might, they can save their green tokens and pass them on to us at the studios in January so that we can use them in the Ashford store.
