News | Witness Appeal: Teenage boy assaulted in Ashford

Kent Police is appealing for any witnesses or footage following an assault in Ashford on Monday when a teenage boy suffered a head injury.

On Monday 29 October 2018 at around 8pm the boy was walking along Faversham Road, between Burton Road and Nettlefield, when he was approached by two men who had their faces covered.

The men reportedly threatened the boy who was then hit over the head with what he believed to be a nunchuck.

Nothing was stolen from the victim who managed to get away from the suspects and walk home in the direction of Canterbury Road.

The teenager attended a local hospital for treatment and the matter was reported to Kent Police.

PC Martyn Brown said: ‘This was an unprovoked attack on a vulnerable victim and whilst we continue our enquiries we would ask anyone with information to call us.

‘Any dashcam footage or CCTV which shows the assault or the moments leading up to it should be flagged to us straight away.'
