Information:
The Salvation Army has launched its annual Christmas Present Appeal.
They are asking people to donate unwrapped new toys and gifts for the borough’s families who are struggling to make ends meet.
They are looking for gifts for children aged five and over, and gift vouchers for children aged 12 and over.
Gifts can be taken to Centrepiece in Bank Street, Ashford between 10am and 2pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The Salvation Army will also hold a celebration event on Christmas Day from noon at the Evangelical Church, in Francis Road, South Ashford. The day will include a Christmas dinner, carols and entertainment.
